For Christmas, my father got me my very own tablet!
It was a late request, only about a week ago did I request it. I always preferred pencil and paper, but after seeing the amazing things that can be done with tablets, my interest peaked. Thus, I asked for a mere $500 Bamboo tablet, one that I could try and return if I did not enjoy the experience.
But, my generous father gave to me, not a cheap bamboo, but a (I hope I title this correctly) Intuos4 Professional Pen Tablet. Needless to say, I was a little overwhelmed and under prepared. Now it seems that this tablet will be more of a commitment. Set Goals for Myself:
- Learning to draw without seeing my own hand or the pen will be the most difficult. I am so use to burying my head in my paper, not to mention my quick-sketchy style will need to be adapted
- Seeing how it is the best program to start out with (at least as far as I know), I should brush up on my lessons from Media Arts. To add to this, I need to learn about the brushes themselves, and a little more about combining with layering.
3)Finding Basic Tutorials
- Hopefully in an easy to understand format. [as I am not a big Photoshop /tablet savvy] If someone happens to known any good tips for learning how to use a tablet, or programs that come with Intuos4, I'd very much appreciated
